crispinwood.com I've been working as a multimedia artist since 1993, and have been involved in the development of numerous interactive products. Whether as art director, scene designer, character designer, animator, story developer, user interface designer, music composer, or any combination of the above, I continue to be artistically involved with interactive technology on the Web, CD-ROMs, and kiosks. Below are a few for-public-consumption examples of my work.

It's a blast making Animations with Kids. Kids are usually way, way more imaginative and creative than grownups. Paper, pens, markers, crayons, a bit of audio, and you have the makings for an animated story. I scan the artwork and convert it to vector graphics for use in Flash, and then I animate it and synch it up to the audio. The results are fun to watch! |

When she was about three years old, my daughter Haley and I collaborated on a bunch of animations, including a few starring Otto and DooDoo. They're all good, but this one may be my favorite. Otto and DooDoo: BeeBeeBaBooBeeBee | |||

The League of Perfect Womyn is an equal-opportunity satire that explores an imaginary utopia in the not-too-distant future. Specifically, it is the story of the inevitable disasters that ensue when a group of sexy, hyperintelligent and opinionated female scientists form the solar system's first feminist space colony. Led by three dominant uber-scientists (Flora Matthews, Fauna Kampala, Virginia Dare) with impeccable fashion tastes, the lunar colony of Virginity attracts a fiercely loyal cadre of young idealistic women, strong in mind and body. This teaser lays some of the groundwork for future extraterrestrial hijinks brought to you by Crispin Wood and Ted Widmer. |

The mass appeal of The Squigglys is identified in this pilot episode. Look for yourself, and see. Only in the household of The Squigglys is the "dramatic tension" so pronounced. This Animation placed second in category 6 (best animated comedy/parody) in the World Internet Animation Competition (May 2000). The Squigglys was featured in ResFest 2000 (Net Cinema Shorts). |
